Lake Management
Thank you very much for signing up to be a planting location for the Lake Brantley Restoration on May 14th! On this date, the Seminole County Lake Management and SERV Programs will bring in FREE beautiful, beneficial native aquatic plants and at least 50 volunteers to install them. These plants will work to help stabilize the shoreline, prevent erosion, and filter pollution runoff before it gets to your lake. We’ll work to remove the invasive apple snail on this date as well.
We will be in touch with you after the next Lake Brantley lake inspection on February 22nd. For the May 14th event, you’ll definitely want to be on hand to learn how to care for the beautiful plants we’re putting in. You’ll also, of course want to be there to tell us where you’d like them along your shoreline.
Plus, each site will have a biologist site captain at your disposal if you have any questions about your lake/canal front property.
With a high turnout of resident volunteers on May 14th, we will bring in even more FREE plants and SERV volunteers to help Lake Brantley, so please feel free to spread the word. Also, all residents who are interested and participate in the event will get FREE plants. And we’ll be sure to add them to our list for the next restoration. This is going to be an incredible event!
I’ve attached the Lake Management Program’s all-inclusive lake management booklet, with everything you need to know about being a great lake steward. I can’t wait to work with you!
Thank you again,
